Eighty Eight Buddhas Repentance Ceremony

The “Eighty-Eight Buddhas” refers to the combined Fifty-Three Buddhas mentioned in the Medicine King and Medicine Superior Bodhisattvas Sutra and the Thirty-Five Buddhas in the Mahāratnakūṭa Sūtra. By reciting the names of the Eighty-Eight Buddhas and making prostrations, one can confess and repent various karmic offenses and thereby increase blessings and wisdom. We dedicate all merit from this ceremony to world peace, the dispelling of disasters, and the benefit of all sentient beings throughout the Dharma realm.
